Top sports broadcaster British Eurosport has confirmed that it will once again broadcast highlights of this year’s An Post Rás na mBan.

Eurosport, the ‘Home of Cycling’ for bike racing fans in Ireland and across the United Kingdom, will feature the tenth edition of Ireland’s top international stage race for women in a half-hour highlights programme to be broadcast on September 25th.

This is the third year in succession that British Eurosport, available in 14 million homes across the UK and Ireland, will cover the event.

Eurosport Cycling commentator Declan Quigley will present the show which will feature the action from the six-stage, five day event taking place in County Clare this week.

24 teams, including 10 from Britain, seven from Ireland and seven from elsewhere in Europe and the USA are getting set for stage one in Ennis this coming Wednesday, 9th September.

An Post Rás na mBan race director Valerie Considine said:

“This year’s An Post Rás na mBan is set to be the best ever. There is immense quality throughout the entry list and a fabulous selection of stage routes.

“I’m very pleased that we are able to renew our involvement with British Eurosport again in 2014. Thanks to generous support from An Post, Clare County Council and the National Dairy Council we are looking forward to again bringing the event to wider audience with this broadcast.”
