Kilkenny-based clothing supplier Lucca Sports has stepped in to back the Team Verge squad at next week’s An Post Rás na mBan in County Clare.
The five-rider squad from Scotland, England and Ireland will wear Verge clothing thanks to the timely intervention by Lucca Sports boss John Dempsey.
Team Verge comprises Gillian Palmer, Peggy Series and Gabriella Nordin from Scotland, England’s Hannah Samut and Ireland’s Niamh Stephens.
As he develops brand awareness for Verge, the former international rider sees women’s bike apparel as a particularly important facet of his growing business.
“It’s an ideal time for us to get involved with An Post Rás na mBan, an event that is, like our business, enjoying really positive growth,” says Dempsey. “It’s great to be able to support the riders in Team Verge and I’ll be looking forward to seeing the Verge brand in the thick of the battle on the roads of Clare next week.”
